Preface and Mission Statement

My friend Steve prompted me to start a blog so that I could share my somewhat humorous, slightly cynical commentary on our culture (as well as cultures that I have no idea about) as a means of comic relief.  After much contemplation/procrastination I have finally decided to oblige his request.  So here we are.

This is your window into my brain.  I know what you’re thinking, but the answer is no.  You will not have control of my mind and movements, as if I were a vehicle for time travel (i.e. John Malkovich).  However I will give you my gratuitious opinions on your favorite bands and movies as well as anything else that you like.  In addition to the degradation, I’ll write about the ongoing dialogue within my own head that hints at the answers to life’s unanswerable questions. 

I have a responsibility to keeping it real.  And though that may seem like, and very well may be, a cliched concept/Chapelle Show rip-off, it’s the best way I could think to articulate that burden which has been bestowed upon me by an unknown entity of this cosmos.  I apologize(insincerely) if I offend anybody, but your feedback and rebuttals would be not only welcomed, but encouraged.
